Oh, hi!

We should be friends.

(i can tell you're awesome)

The ones who can't help but be kinda awkward. The ones who sometimes (always) cry a lot and have tummy issues. The ones who would fight a bear for those they love, but also think bears need cuddles, too.

The ones who promised their past selves they would finally show up in a way that isn't fueled purely by self-hate. Because that sh*t sucks.

I'm so glad you're here!

I created this space for us.

I created this space for us.

Powerlifter, author of Fitness For Every Body, and Founder of SOULera. I’m passionate about sharing ways to improve our overall human experience, while also appreciating and celebrating the body we were provided on this earth. I’m also a big believer that joyful and intuitive movement are possible for every body. I love providing real examples of trackable, overall wellness-promoting behaviors that have nothing to do with how we look. The first time I showed up at a workout, I threw up everywhere. I came in last on every single thing, struggling to transition from the ground to standing without pausing to take a breather. At that moment, I felt helpless and like fitness wasn’t meant for a body like mine. This sentiment went on for a few years. Now, I’m a powerlifting enthusiast and thrive off the energy it provides me. Yet, every single day I’m asked “how do you do that?” when people see me do a plank or push-up without modifications. I’ve reached this point because I’ve come to realize that we are stronger and more capable than we allow ourself to be. I’ve made it my mission to change the narrative around plus-size bodies and fitness, and to bypass the inevitable judgment that comes with it.

In 2015, I showed up to an outdoor fitness boot camp. I was eager to reach my "goal weight" and desperate for a major physical transformation. However, the path I took was filled with disordered eating and an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise. It was a challenging time that taught me valuable lessons about the true meaning of strength and wellness. I continued this path over the next two years while battling anxiety, depression, and consistent panic attacks that led to the end of my music career.

By 2018, I found myself embracing a new chapter in my life as a new mom to a beautiful daughter. Just two months postpartum, I decided to approach fitness in a new way; with gratitude and a focus on performance based goals. I attended my very first powerlifting session and was instantly hooked. This was the moment that sparked my passion for helping others with little fitness experience (or a not so great past experience) feel confident and capable in their fitness journey. I began documenting my experiences online and suddenly had a large following turned incredible community.

In 2021, I decided to take content creation more seriously, determined to spread my message of inclusivity and self-compassion. I wrote my book, "Fitness for Every Body," as a guide to inspire individuals to embrace their uniqueness and prioritize their well-being without judgment. My message reached incredible heights when I had the privilege to appear on shows like The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Today Show to promote my book. My hope is to inspire others on a journey of their own transformation, free from the negative rhetoric often spewed at plus-size folks.

In 2022, life threw me a curveball as I embarked on an IVF journey and welcomed my son into the world. The pregnancy and treatments were challenging, and I needed to take a break from content creation to focus on my health and family. But through it all, I found strength and resilience that further fueled my determination to empower others. And I slowly began preparing for an even bigger dream.

In 2023, I began crafting an idea. I decided to spend majority of the year focused on bringing this idea to life, which became SOULera. A fitness gear brand for the everyday badass. I'm now creating content that not only inspires but also educates. I can't wait to see what comes next.

I'm fueled by protein coffee and awkward dance moves. My favorite workout jams? Ohhh, girl. My Spotify playlists are loaded with just about any vibe I'm looking for (give them a follow!), but usually something that goes hard! Most likely Taylor Swift. When I'm not lifting weights and awkwardly dancing my way through workouts, you'll likely catch me playing guitar, piano, or any other instrument I can get my hands on.

I’m a powerlifter, swiftie, content creatormusician, mama to kiddos Maci and Hudson, and wife to my hubby, Bobby.
